Kinloch Golf Club (KGC) is looking for an assistant superintendent to help manage 150+ acres of cool season turf.
KGC opened in 2001 and was designed by Lester George and Vinny Giles. The tees, fairways and greens are grassed with L-93, creeping bentgrass. The rough is a mixture of Kentucky bluegrass and turf type tall Fescue. The intermediate cuts are grassed with HGT, thermal bluegrass. In 2019, the bunkers were updated with the Better Billy Bunker system and in 2021, the club embarked on a course wide drainage plan that was designed by Turf Drainage of America.
KGC maintains a maintenance staff consisting of 4 assistants, 2 mechanics, a horticulturist and a full time crew ranging from 24 to 30 staff members.
Our membership is currently full with over 460 members. Of that, we have over 230 National members who visit us often in the spring and fall. The club has 3 on-site cottages that sleep up to 24 guests. KGC books over 3000 room nights per year, so in addition to our local play, business hospitality is a central component to our operation.
1-3 years of previous golf course experience is required and:
2 or 4 year degree/certificate in turf grass/soil science
4 year degree in an unrelated field with a willingness to pursue additional education relating to turf or soil science
