The Country Club of Waterbury was established in 1899 and designed by the famed Donald Ross. The course was recently recognized by Golfweek as one of the Top 200 Classic Golf Courses in the United States. The Board of Directors has recently approved a Master Plan Renovation in which 2 holes have been completed. The renovation includes green expansions, renovating all bunkers on the course, and new tees.
The 1st Assistant will assist the Superintendent in all aspects of golf course management that include budgeting, scheduling, irrigation set-up and repair, chemical applications, as well as all day to day operations of the golf course. A candidate ready to work hard and learn championship conditioning will ensure the success in taking the next step in becoming a superintendent.
Candidate must have a 2-4 year degree or certificate from a reputable turf or horticulture program
2-5 years in the golf course industry or related field is required
Must be able to obtain a Connecticut Commercial Operators License within 6 months
