Canyon Creek Country Club is in search of a qualified candidate to fill the assistant superintendent position. The assistant superintendent will work closely with the superintendent in the planning and implementation of all agronomic procedures on the golf course and clubhouse grounds. A strong candidate must be highly motivated and goal-oriented, with a great work ethic and attention to detail. Some of the responsibilities for the position include scheduling course maintenance activities, training and mentoring maintenance staff, and making pesticide and fertilizer applications. The assistant superintendent must also gain a working knowledge of a complex irrigation system and have the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues regarding leaks, pumps, control boxes, etc.
Two or four year degree in Agronomy or similar science with an emphasis in Turfgrass Management preferred. Texas pesticide applicators license (or the ability to obtain one in 90 days)
