Equipment/Shop Manager - San Joaquin Country Club

Experience Requirements

Previous experience as a Equipment/Shop Mechanic or Assistant at a golf course operation is important.

Private club experience is preferred.

Extent of background and quality of candidate is an important aspect of this position which includes:

• Solid work ethic
• Reliable and predictable attendance
• Experience working in a fast-paced shop environment with the ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling
• Valid Driver’s license

Special Requirements

• Manages shop operation and organization of all golf course equipment and vehicles 
• Maintain accurate reports of service
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
• Capacity to perform various tasks associated with maintaining properly performing cutting units, which includes adjusting heights of cut
• Experience grinding reels and bedknives
• Capability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engines which can also include oil and filter changes         
• Skill to perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and electric components of mowing equipment
• Ensures that all equipment operates accurately and safely
