Ideal candidates will have a minimum 2 years’ experience as a golf course mechanic with knowledge of all the various machines and tools used in the daily maintenance of a golf course. This includes knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and small engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, cutting units and all relevant attachments on riding mowers, tractors, push mowers, utility vehicles, weed/hedge trimmers, chainsaws etc.
Schedule and perform appropriate preventative maintenance on all relevant equipment.
Perform routine inspection, diagnosis, and repair of golf course equipment including but not limited to, riding mowers, tractors, push mowers, and gas-powered hand tools.
Keep all cutting units sharpened and adjusted for proper cut height.
Keep up-to-date service records on all equipment and major repairs.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area in compliance with all appropriate safety laws and regulations.
Represent Westridge Golf Course in a positive and professional manner at the club and in the local community
Minimum educational requirement High School completion.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mechanic on golf equipment.
Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and small engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mower cutting units.
Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and walk.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, lift overhead, push, pull, and move lighter objects.
Mechanic may be exposed to wet, humid, hot or cold working conditions inside and outside the shop including outside weather conditions of extreme heat and cold.
Ability to work and interact in a positive and professional manner.
Ability to work and communicate positively with others in high stress work environment.
Ability to work hours needed to ensure execution of essential job functions.
