In a supporting role alongside the Golf Course Superintendent and the Senior Assistant, the Assistant Superintendent will work to help devise, and implement strategies that will provide a firm and fast golf course to ensure the optimal conditions for our members and their guest.
Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Managing a staff of 13-18 individuals throughout the year
Calibration and application of plant protectants
Calibration and application of fertilizers
Solid knowledge base of various equipment and uses
Irrigation use and maintenance
Hand watering functions as needed
Payroll, expenditure tracking
Green committee, project tracking
Scheduling using ABS Task Tracker
The club is currently in the process of developing a Master Plan that will lead to bunker renovations, tee renovations, greens renovation, irrigation renovations, and possible re-grassing of primary playing surfaces.
The club is highly motivated to achieve theses goals, and is committed to supporting their Agronomy Department.
Must have at a minimum 3 years golf course experience with increasing responsibilities. A good background in irrigation maintenance practices, and bent grass experience would be helpful. Prior management experience also valued.

The property encompasses over 250 scenic acres and is tucked away from the hustle and bustle from the surrounding area. The golf course was originally designed by the Arthur Hills firm in the early 80's, but was renovated and redesigned in 2003 by Mike Riley. It is a wonderful combination of golden age philosophy and some modern appeal.
