Knowledge & Skills Required: · Proactivity, ability to work under pressure in a team environment, but independently with good decision-making skills · Knowledge of management of warm season and cool season grasses, SP Bentgrass greens in the transition zone and overseeding considered to be an advantage · Ability and knowledge of golf course irrigation management softwares would be an advantage · Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance · Skills in recruiting, supervising, training, evaluating and motivating personnel · Knowledge of safe use, mixing and application of chemicals and fertilizers · Knowledge of the game of golf and golf rules · Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment, and material requirements Minimum Qualifications: · 3-5 years’ experience as a Golf Superintendent or 1st Assistant · 2-year Degree or Certificate in Turf Management (or related field, like agronomy, horticulture, plant science) · Advanced computer skills required for financial reporting and control of operations, including use of Microsoft Office · Valid Driver's License · Pesticide Application License · Speak, write and converse freely in English. Knowledge of Greek will be an advantage |
