The 2nd Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to oversee the daily, monthly, and yearly golf course agronomy operation.  The position will promote an exceptional golf experience, and provide excellent course conditions for all patrons.  Specific responsibilities include overseeing the management of the irrigation technician and course crew to ensure proper irrigation and playability across all playing surfaces.  They should be able to manage the agronomy department in the absence of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. They are responsible for chemical and fertilizer applications when needed.  They will help establish golf maintenance operation personnel policies; ensuring proper hiring, training, supervising, personal development and corrective action in accordance with fair labor standards, safety and established policy.  The 2nd Assistant should be able to overcome problems that arise in a positive and timely fashion.  

-Degree or Certificate is preferred but not required 

-Golf course maintenance experience required

-Knowledge of proper irrigation repair and golf course irrigation troubleshooting required

-Be able to work independently or with the crew on a daily basis

-A positive attitude and ability to have fun with your coworkers outside each day in the Rocky Mountains

-This is a year round salaried position that requires working outside in all weather conditions of northwest Colorado
