Saucon Valley Country Club provides students with a comprehensive internship at an incredibly unique facility. Students are encourage to ask questions and participate in daily discussions about course management, projects, and cultural practices. With 60 holes of golf, students will experience all aspects of golf course maintenance such as, but not limited to,
Experience maintaining bentgrass on USGA as well as push-up style greens
Crew management and training
Assist with SVCC water management program
Chemical/fertilizer applications and calibrations
Irrigation installation, trouble-shooting and repair
Exposure to managing critical thinking at a multi course facility
Located a hour north of Philadelphia in the Lehigh Valley, Saucon Valley Country Club is a Top Platinum Club of America and the first club to host 3 U.S. Senior Open Championships (1992, 2000, & 2022). With the upcoming championship students will get hands-on experience with major championship preparations.

About Saucon Valley Country Club
Saucon Valley Country Club is accepting resumes to fill the position of Assistant Superintendent. Saucon Valley is a full-service private country club spanning 850 acres, offering Sixty holes of golf with three championship courses and a six-hole Short Course. Recognized by the United States Golf Association as a true test of skill, Saucon was chosen to host 8 USGA Championships, including the 2022 United States Senior Open Championship. The club is in the evaluation and planning stages of designing and installing a state of the art irrigation system encompassing all 850 acres. There have been 30 successful superintendents and industry leaders that have cultivated, enhanced, and advanced their careers through our professional development program over the last 16 years.
