This is a busy public 18-hole course owned by the City of New Haven and managed by New England Golf Corporation.
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to manage all aspects of the course ensuring excellent playing conditions. The Assistant will be a part of managing and training staff, fertilizer and chemical application, irrigation and equipment repairs, as well as all aspects of course management.
This position offers excellent growth potential and the ability to gain valuable experience in the tasks required to maintain a busy golf course. A strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must.
Education: Minimum of a 2-year degree or certificate in Turf-Grass Management. Must hold a CT pesticide license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant, Intern, or related field.
