Walnut Creek Country Club offers a great experience including management of both annual bluegrass and bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways. In addition, there are three different methods of greens construction represented including soil push up, sand based, and USGA. Candidates for this position will be exposed to all activities in the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to crew management, chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation installation and repairs, and proper training and execution of hand watering. Ideal candidates will be self motivated, honest, trustworthy, and have a positive attitude. Assistant Superintendent will attend Greens Committee meetings for experience with member relations and club politics.
Walnut Creek will be embarking on a renovation starting in August 2021 involving bunker construction, new irrigation and drainage installation, greens rebuilding, and more. We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated person to join our staff!
2 or 4 year degree in Turf Management for Golf or Sports Turf. More than anything, we are looking for an individual with a positive attitude and passion for the turf industry who wants to be part of a strong team.
