Summer Intern

"Plum Creek Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana is located just north of Indianapolis and is a unique Pete Dye design that was built to allow for a wide variety of angles and approaches to each green.  This Par 72 layout features strategically placed bunkers, undulating greens and multiple water features that make it a great example of modern golf architecture

We are looking for intern(s) with a positive attitude, a good work ethic and eagerness to learn and advance their own careers.  This opportunity offers an individual the chance to become an integral piece of our turf management team during the 2021 season.  

• Learn how to properly calibrate and apply both liquid and granular chemical and fertilizer applications
• Learn how to appropriately manage moisture based up environmental conditions and cultural practices
• How to prepare and setup a golf course for regular and tournament play
• Learn to safely and efficiently operate all of our turf equipment
• Lead/work within a team environment to complete projects and tasks
• Plan and execute daily routines at a facility that has over 25,000 rounds per year
• Work closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendent on a daily basis

This internship opportunity is a unique because it will allow an individual to work in a fast-paced environment while also being included in crucial decision making on a daily basis.
