Oakridge Country Club
Oakridge Country Club is a private, member owned 18-hole golf course designed by William F. Bell and William Neff. The Club opened in 1957 and has 400 members. In 2019 a new irrigation system was installed, consisting of new pump house, HDPE pipe, Toro infinity heads, Toro VP satellites and Toro Lynx central control. Additionally, in 2019 Oakridge rebuilt the driving range tee and designed and built a 4-acre practice facility which consists of 4 T1 Bent greens. In the spring of 2016 Oakridge completed a project to clean ponds, expand irrigation water storage and improve the design of the water features. The Club has a 2013 Smithco Spray Star for primary applications with a 200-gallon Toro sprayer as backup. Oakridge Country Club is the 2021 host of the Korn Ferry Utah Championship a PGA Tour sanctioned event. The Utah Championship has been held at Oakridge since 2017. Responsibilities: The 2nd Assistant Superintendent/ Chemical and Fertilizer Specialist will be involved in and assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in all aspects of golf course management. Specific emphasis will be on the application of chemicals, fertilizers and plant protectants. Other duties and responsibilities may include monitoring golf course playing conditions, small project management, assisting with equipment maintenance, seasonal employee training and supervision and performing other tasks in daily course preparation as needed.
