Management of Green River Golf Club is provided by CourseCo of Northern California, a firm that has received many awards for its efforts in protecting the environment at its golf courses. CourseCo has worked to expand native plant areas and create wildlife corridors, reduce the number of irrigated acres, enhance wildlife habitat and run a recycling program.
Green River is a member of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, a program open to golf clubs throughout the nation. Our goal at Green River is to enhance the game of golf and improve the quality of the environment through stewardship to protect wildlife habitat and natural resources. Our club and the Santa Ana River Canyon are home to more than 50 bird species, some of which are endangered.
Government agencies have also begun work to enhance the habitat along the river, which will increase the natural beauty of the golf club as well.
Duties include but not limited to:
Daily planning and scheduling of staff and daily maintenance activities
Course setup
Chemical and fertilizer applications
Aerification, topdressing, vert-i-cutting, and other critical agronomic activities
Moisture management, watering, and irrigation scheduling
Irrigation and drainage troubleshooting, repair, and installation
Project management and leadership
Complete knowledge of all aspects of Golf Course Maintenance which includes the operation of equipment, chemical spray calibration and application, fertilizer calibration and application, computer knowledge and supervisory experience.
