The equipment manager reports directly to the golf course superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. This program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The equipment manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the superintendent and schedules and directs the work assignments of the assistant equipment manager. The equipment manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.
Technical training in hydraulics, diesel and small engine repair, electrical troubleshooting reel grinding and set up as well as welding and fabrication. Proven record as an effective manager necessary with a minimum of 3 years preferred. Strong organizational skills, record keeping as well as innovativeness required. Must be motivated and insightful, a self-starter.
Additional Salary Information: 401 K eligibility after 1 year of continuous employment with employer matching contributions up to 6% of gross income, paid vacation, designated holidays, health and dental insurance as presented within the Club manual, laundered uniforms, dues to local associations and continuing education.
