Pottawattomie Country Club was founded in 1909 as a 9-hole course in Michigan City, Indiana, minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan. The original 9, now holes 10-18, was designed by Tom Bendelow. The course was eventually expanded to its current 18-hole layout in 1964.
The course features 3 acres of steep and undulated Poa annua/bentgrass greens protected by small but strategic bunkers, 2 acres of tees, and 20 acres of rolling, tree-lined fairways.
Pottawattomie is primarily a parkland layout with numerous elevated tee shots as well as elevated green complexes. The layout works with the natural flow of the property and crosses Trail Creek numerous times.
