The Club at Glenmore is a full service private club featuring a championship golf course designed by John LaFoy that opened in 1992. The greens are A-1/A-4 bentgrass greens and the tees, fairways and rough are comprised of Vamont bermudagrass.
Irrigation is Toro Lynx central and OSMAC field controllers.
Along with golf the club offers tennis with hard courts and Har-tru clay courts, paddle courts, driving range, indoor teaching facility, 2 pools and fitness center.
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for:
Day to day planning and managing of course and clubhouse grounds maintenance.
Performing pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Moisture management on Bentgrass greens.
Training new employees as needed.
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent should have:
Min 2-year College Agronomy Degree is preferred but not required.
VA Pesticide applicators license or able to obtain one within 60 days.
Previous golf course maintenance experience.
Knowledge of basic agronomy.
Ability to perform all aspects of golf course maintenance as needed.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
