| The Lido Internship - TheLido.com The Lido is the latest golf venture to be developed by Michael Keiser Jr. and Chris Keiser directly across the street from Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes and Sandbox. This project is set to open in 2023 for play. The Lido is a historical masterpiece, originally built on Long Island, NY in 1917. It was considered one of golf’s greatest treasures, until the land was taken over as a U.S. Naval Base in 1940. The original Lido course is now a residential neighborhood, and 80 years later, The Keiser Family is restoring the historic course in the Central Sands of Wisconsin. The development covers approximately 850 acres with a private clubhouse, a pro shop, 17-20 homesites, and 5 miles of private hiking and biking trails. www.TheLido.com Description - Participate with construction and grow-in of The Lido including: seeding greens, tees, fairways and native areas using various techniques including hyrdomulching, drop seeding, and seed bed preparation.
- Exposure to the following: high Capacity well install, irrigation install, 13+ acre pond construction, wet-well install, pump-house construction, maintenance shop construction, mechanic shop construction
- Grow-in schedule irrigation/ fertilizer/pesticide application, calibration and record keeping
- Management of small crews
- Turfgrass cultural practices
- Management of turf type fine fescue and bent grass
- Management and restoration of natural areas/sand barrens
- Minimalist maintenance approach concept
Education: Tour of the Toro Company Manufacturing facility in Tomah, with education to include Toro's approach to the future of technology.
