Westmoreland Country Club is a 1954 Dick Wilson design, 30 min outside of Pittsburgh PA. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and passionate 2nd Assistant Superintendent/Irrigation Technician to join our management team. This will be a hands-on management position with a heavy focus on irrigation. Westmoreland Country Club has in recent years, renovated all greenside bunkers with Capillary Concrete and will be looking to complete the fairway bunkers in the coming years. This is an unbelievable opportunity to learn all aspects of golf course maintenance, gain project experience, and advance your career.
Working directly with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, you will be involved with planning, training, and executing daily operations. 2021 is an exciting year for Westmoreland Country so don’t miss out!
Strong organization and communication skills
Toro Site Pro experience
Irrigation troubleshooting and repair experience
Experience with pump startup and blowout
Experience managing a crew of 10-15 people
Chemical application experience preferred
Valid drivers license required
Must possess or obtain a PA pesticide license within 90 days
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime
1-3 years of irrigation experience, but will consider recent graduates.\
