Brook Hollow Golf Club, founded in 1920, is one of the preeminent private member-owned golf clubs in the southwestern United States. Brook Hollow has hosted significant golf tournaments including multiple Trans-Miss championships, the USGA Mid-Am, as well as USGA and Texas Golf Association championships/qualifiers.
Brook Hollow Golf Club recently completed an extensive golf course renovation to restore the original A.W. Tillinghast design characteristics from the 1920’s that was completed in November 2020. The project included a new Toro 2-wire irrigation system and Flowtronics pumpstation. Fairways, tees and rough were all resurfaced with Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass. Greens were seeded with 7-7-7 bentgrass that include Sub-air and Hydronics systems for controlling sub surface temperature and air/gas exchange. This is a great opportunity for someone to learn turfgrass management using state-of-the-art technologies.
We are looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual interested in sharpening their skills to become an assistant superintendent. The chosen individuals will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance including but not limited to:
Moisture management on bentgrass and bermuda grass playing surfaces
Operation of Hydronics and Sub-Air technology on bent grass greens
Assistance with creating/implementing new operating procedures for golf course
Chemical and Fertilizer calibration, application, and safety
Irrigation repair and scheduling using Lynx software
