Brook Hollow Golf Club, founded in 1920, is one of the preeminent private member-owned golf clubs in the southwestern United States. Brook Hollow has hosted significant golf tournaments including multiple Trans-Miss championships, the USGA Mid-Am, as well as USGA and Texas Golf Association championships/qualifiers.
Brook Hollow Golf Club recently completed an extensive golf course renovation to restore the original A.W. Tillinghast design characteristics from the 1920’s that was completed in November 2020.
The golf course mechanicrepairs all equipment associated with course maintenance department. The candidate must have 3-5 years of knowledge working with small engines, reel and rotary mowers, hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engines, and welding/fabrication
Perform preventative maintenance on all golf course equipment within intervals specified by manufacturer.
Inspect all equipment for operating deficiencies and wear.
Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues on equipment and perform proper repairs.
Maintain accurate service records on all equipment.
Perform proper grinding intervals to maintain a high level of cut, at all times.
Perform daily checks out in the field and in the shop to ensure quality of cut.
Purchase and inventory all parts associated with repairs and preventative maintenance.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Train maintenance staff in proper equipment use, care, and maintenance methods.
Perform other duties as requested or required.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player accustomed to being in position of responsibility.
Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers when needed.
Must be able to work as required to complete duties in a timely manner.
Must be organized and able to perform administrative duties associated with the position.
Is familiar with and maintains OSHA and other compliances.
Must be able to clearly understand and communicate with members, guests and co-workers in English.
Working knowledge of Club policies and guidelines as outlined in Brook Hollow’s Employee Handbook.
Must Have a valid Driver’s License.
Flexible work schedule—work weekends and holidays as needed.
Operation of power equipment and heavy machinery if needed.
Required to bend, stoop, and stand up to 8-10 hours a day.
Must be able to lift, push, or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Independent--able to move about departments and club buildings in a professional manner.
Must have good or corrected vision to select/stock merchandise and read labels.
Must be able to work in a busy environment.
