| JOB SUMMARY A full-time supervisory position with a concentration in golf course facilities who is under the direction of the Operations Manager or higher-level administrator. Primary responsibility will be supervising and directing staff in the care and maintenance of grounds / turf on golf course; may be required to supervise and / or support staff in athletic field and turf maintenance throughout the district. NATURE and SCOPE - Manages and supervises a crew responsible for an assigned number of parks, public grounds, and/or athletic fields; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates, disciplines, and evaluates assigned staff; reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
- Provides leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans; coordinates department activities with other departments and agencies as needed.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites work flow; studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
- Shares responsibilities to coordinate usage and maintenance schedules of athletic fields and facilities; assists with coordination of park landscape and athletic field construction and maintenance.
- Assists in projecting needs for equipment, materials and supplies; assists in the preparation of specifications, estimates, and bids for machinery, equipment, and contractor services.
- Prepares and maintains daily, monthly, and annual reports and records, as assigned.
- Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.

Daily contact includes peers, contractors, outside agency officials, and other district personnel for policy, procedures, general information, and/or assistance and community residents. |
