Boot Ranch is a Hal Sutton design built in 2005. Located in Fredericksburg, TX the heart of the Texas hill country. The property consists of an 18 hole championship golf course, 34 acre driving range/practice park, ranch club with pools/sports courts, clubhouse, private lake club and a trap and skeet range. In 2017 the club underwent a successful 3 million dollar renovation. Including transforming 28 bentgrass greens to ultradwarf tif eagle. As well as reconstructing all bunkers using bunker solutions liners. 

This position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to advance in their career. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the day to day operations of the golf course including but not limited to staff management, daily planning, spraying, record keeping/recording data and water management. The 2nd assistant will work hand in hand with the assistant, superintendent, mechanic and year round crew of 20. The right candidate will also be a huge help in the continued success of our internship program. 

1 to 2 years experience as either spray technician, AIT or several completed internships.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Housing, daily lunches, uniforms, golfing/fishing privileges, every other weekend off, paid time off, medical, vision, dental and life insurance. As well as the opportunity to volunteer at a PGA tournament.

Boot Ranch is a Hal Sutton design, located in Fredericksburg, the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The property consists of an 18-hole 6th ranked golf course in Texas, 34-acre golf practice park, Ranch club with pools and sports campus, clubhouse and a lake club nestled on an 11-acre lake. In 2017 the club underwent a successful 3-million-dollar renovation including: the construction of the 1 acre putting green and community park, new bunkers with bunker solution liners, conversion of 28 bent-grass greens to tiff-eagle ultra-dwarf Bermuda, and several other changes to further improve the playability of the golf course. Boot Ranch has been selected as the site for this year’s Texas State Amateur.
