The Assistant Superintendent will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance and play a vital role in planning/implementation of our agronomic program, including but not limited to:
- Pesticide/fertilizer calibration and application
- Record Keeping
- Crew management
- Irrigation scheduling and trouble shooting
- Budgeting and long range planing
- Committee meeting attendance and participation
The Assistant will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Management team to gain the necessary knowledge developing solid agronomic practices, management skills and fiscal responsibility. The position will prepare the right candidate to advance their career in the future.

Individuals with a degree/certificate or on track to graduate this winter/spring from a Turfgrass Management Program are strongly encourages to apply.
2-3 years working on a golf course with progressive responsibility and experience in chemical calibration/application, hand-watering/irrigation repairs and trouble shooting, crew management.
Additional Salary Information: Onsite Housing, meals, uniforms, pro shop allowance, golf privileges, health insurance, 401K after 1 year with 3% club match, vacation, sick and personal time. Tournament experience will be available. Paid dues to GCSAA and local chapter.
About Greenwich Country Club
Founded in 1892, Greenwich Country Club was designed by Seth Raynor. LOcated 35 miles Northeast of NYC, GCC is a progressive club dedicated to providing the best playing conditions on a daily basis.
GCC completed two major upgrades to the golf course during the fall of 2018/2019 spring. Rebuilding of all greens transitioned from poa push-up greens to 007 bentgrass, USGA spec greens, surrounds and bunkers took place, along with the installation of a state of the art Rainbird IC irrigation system and pump station.
In the spring of 2020, the club renovated the driving range, to include installation of target greens, fairway, drainage infrastructure, and completion of the IC irrigation system.
Future capital projects call for new maintenance facility, ongoing tree removal program, extensive in-house drainage improvements, fairway conversion program to bentgrass and primary rough conversion to Turf Type Tall Fescue.
