Baltusrol Golf Club is an A.W. Tillinghast designed 36-hole facility located in Springfield, NJ. Baltusrol has enjoyed a long and rich history in golf and has played a prominent role on the national golf stage for 120 years by hosting 16 USGA national championships and 2 PGA championships. We will host the upcoming 2023 Women’s PGA Championship and 2029 PGA Championship.
Baltusrol is entering a transformative time. We have completed the full restoration of the Lower Course under Gil Hanse and will begin the Upper Course in 2023. The restoration of the Lower included a state-of-the-art irrigation system with new pumpstation, USGA spec greens with Precision Aire units, new tees/approaches, new bunkers using the Better Billy method, extensive fairway drainage, and native area expansion.
Baltusrol Golf Club is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent with an exceptional work ethic and a desire to improve the golf course in all aspects. The Assistant will work closely with the Director of Grounds and Superintendent to provide world class conditioning that exceeds member/guest expectations.
Our mission at Baltusrol is to provide you with the agronomic, management, and networking skills/experience to place you in a top superintendent position when you are ready. This includes the use of cutting-edge equipment/technology, high-level PGA Tour/USGA tournament volunteering, winter warm season job placement opportunities, staff and project management, regular attendance at greens committee meetings, and interview/portfolio training/assistance with industry leading management recruiters. We will use our vast network with industry leaders and other top clubs to help you make the connections needed to advance and thrive in our competitive industry.
We also strive to maintain a work/life balance. We have a young, energetic management staff that likes to have as much fun off the course as on it, including golf, music/sporting events, and NYC night life.
