Summary The Country Club of Virginia (CCV) is seeking applicants for the position of Shop Manager for our Golf and Grounds Maintenance department. Our current Shop Manager is retiring after 32 years of service with the Club. The Shop Manager ensures the maintenance and repair of all golf and grounds equipment and a fleet of 140 golf carts, along with managing a team of equipment technicians. The Shop Manager reports to the Director of Golf and Grounds Maintenance and works closely with the Golf Course Superintendents and other departmental managers to achieve success.

The Position Each golf course has its own equipment fleet with a few larger pieces being shared. A funded ongoing capital replacement plan keeps the fleet of equipment up to date and in good condition. Most of our equipment is Toro, and we take great pride in maintaining the equipment to a high level. Our courses are recognized throughout the region as being in top condition.
The ideal Shop Manager will have a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and professional development (for self and team). He or she will excel at organization, time management, and recordkeeping. The ability to adapt to change and frequently reprioritize tasks is critical to success.
Individual will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, driver’s license with a clean driving record, high school diploma with technical training preferred, employee management experience, and working knowledge of all commonly used golf course equipment.
