The Assistant in Training at Bellerive Country Club is responsible for the execution and oversight of all day-to-day operations within the golf course maintenance department.
The AIT is a vital mid-management role at the club, focusing on the professional development and training of qualified individuals, with an emphasis on learning leadership skills, golf course conditioning, pest and plant health identification and proper club communication strategies.

Experience levels for this position vary from Entry-Level, to experienced individuals looking for Championship Club exposure.
Successful individuals in this program have a passion for growth in their career, and a strong desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent. The purpose of this role to provide the training necessary to advance one's career within the Golf Course Maintenance industry.
Minimum Associate's Degree in Related field or 2 year Turfgrass certificate required
1-2 years Golf Course experience or summer internship preferred, but not required.
Positive attitude, punctuality, cleanliness and well-groomed is imperative.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, fumes and/or airborne particles. Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.

Bellerive Country Club is a private member-owned country club located in the suburbs of St. Louis, MO. Established in 1897, Bellerive is known as one of the premier Country Clubs of the Midwest, and is currently ranked as the #30 Private Platinum Club in America.
The current site of Bellerive Country Club, known as the "Green Monster of Ladue" has been home to seven Championships over it's 60 year history, most recently the 2018 PGA Championship won by Brooks Koepka. Bellerive Country Club is in an elite class as one of only three clubs in the United States to host all 4 traveling Men's major Championships (U.S. Open, Senior U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship).
Following 2018's PGA Championship, Bellerive has undergone an extensive PGA restoration and a full-scale renovation project, that encompasses all aspects of the club. Beginning in Spring of 2019, BCC constructed a state-of-the-art Racquets Facility, complete with 5 Har-Tru suspended clay courts, 1 post-tension hard court, 2 platform paddleball courts and 6 post tension pickeball courts. The club has now recently concluded an entire clubhouse renovation, ...building a brand-new additional clubhouse structure off of the 18th green, bringing a more dynamic experience to members of the club.
Beginning in June of 2019 Bellerive underwent an extensive greens rebuild, complete to USGA specifications. Additionally, the scope of the project captured the rebuild of the driving range and Short game areas, as well as PGA restoration sites and extensive drainage on the course. Future plans in the winter of 2020-21 is the preparation, design and construction of a new state-of-the-art Grounds Maintenance facility.
