North Ranch Country Club is a 27 hole, private, equity golf and tennis club in Westlake Village, CA, founded in 1974. North Ranch Country Club offers candidates an opportunity to be a part of a constantly evolving country club. The Assistant Superintendent at North Ranch Country Club will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. This position will help prepare the assistant to advance within the golf course industry while working closely with the Superintendent on all aspects of maintenance of the golf course. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, reliable with a strong attention to detail and passionate about improving the conditions of the golf course.
A minimum of 2 years of golf maintenance experience. Desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent. Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter who leads by example.
Irrigation experience, including troubleshooting, repairs, programming, watering. Experience calibrating, applying, and monitoring chemical and fertilizer applications. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus. Ability to operate general golf course maintenance equipment. Experience with Rainbird Cirrus irrigation operating system preferred. Must be able to attain California QAL/QAC within 90-days of employment.
