West Shore Country Club is looking to fill the role of Assistant Superintendent. The individual must be well developed in carrying out and implementing daily tasks including but not limited to: pesticide and fertilizer applications, irrigation programming and maintenance, crew scheduling, daily record keeping, and report writing. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to develop his/her skill set. The successful candidate must be passionate about the golf course industry and some day aspire to become a Golf Course Superintendent.
Education should consist of at least a 2 or 4 year turf degree from a recognizable teaching facility. Experience should include at least 3 years carrying out Golf Course Maintenance. Previous management type roles are an advantage but not necessary.

Salary will be highly competitive - $45k +
Being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is an advantage but not necessary.
Applicant must have, or obtain a P.A. Pesticide License within 60 days of employment and should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and management skills.

West Shore Country Club is a 18 hole private, member owned club situated on the west side of the Susquehanna River just outside of Harrisburg in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Established in 1928, the club prides itself on the highest golf course conditioning possible. The club has invested significantly in the past 10 years with the installation of a new irrigation system in 2011 and a bunker/course renovation carried out by Golf Course architect Andrew Green in 2018.
