St. Andrews Country Club, located in Boca Raton, FL. is currently recruiting for an Assistant Superintendent to join our Agronomy team. This candidate must be a self motivated, energetic professional who can deliver exceptional conditioning under the direction of the Director of Course and Grounds and the Golf Course Superintendent.

This postion offers a unique opportunity to be involved with the decion making, supervising and execution of programs that in return provides championship conditions for our members and their guests. The Assistant Superintendent will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent.

The Assistant Superintendent will have full authority of managing the maintenance operation and team, assuming all responsibilities of the Superintendent in their absence, under the direction of the Director of Course and Grounds.
Advises Superintendent of course conditions and performance issues, while enforcing and adhering to all expected standards.
Supervision of all team members, including training, coaching, and evaluating on a daily basis while working with a multinational team.
Assists the Superintendent in the planning and execution of all applications, irrigation needs, regular job duties and cultural practices while promoting the standards for the team to adhere to.
Supervises and participates in all Chemical, Fertilizer and Topdressing applications along with many different cultural practices and irrigation diagnosis and repair.
Manages inventory controls with the Superintendent of all Chemical, Fertilizer, Irrigation, Sand, Drainage materials and Tools while overseeing storage of these materials at the end of the teams day.
Communicates as necessary with all other departments, team members, management, committees and members in regards to the golf course while representing the Golf Maintenance department in a professional and positive manner.
Participates in all Safety Meetings while helping the Superintendent with implementation and training of the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Director while abiding by all policies, regulations, instructions and work procedures.
Must be able to obtain a Florida Turf & Ornamental Pesticide License within 6 months of employment.
Must be able to work effectively in a quick moving environment that frequently changes priorities based on the Superintendents needs while handling multiple tasks concurrently.
Must have knowledge and understanding of the game of golf.
Must be able to perform work in all weather extremes.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Must have general knowledge of all Agronomy related mathematical skills including calibration.
