Summary: The Turf/Landscape Specialist, under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent performs pesticide/fertilizer applications at the Saints Golf Course. The Turf/Landscape Specialist is responsible for reading, understanding and keeping current with chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). This position is also responsible for compiling preliminary reports of pesticide usage for the Golf Course Superintendent and is required to perform skilled manual work in turf, grounds keeping operations and equipment maintenance.
Education and/or Experience: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma is required. Four (4) years’ experience in turf/landscaping fertilizer and chemical application methods and equipment maintenance required. Golf Course experience highly desired.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Florida Driver's License and maintenance of clean driving record is required. Must possess or ability to obtain a Florida pesticide Turf and Ornamental, and a Limited Lawn and Ornamental applicators license within one (1) year of employment. A Green Industries Best Management Practices certification is highly desired.
