The position of Landscape Manager is responsible for the maintenance and care of all common ground and clubhouse areas including all turf, shrubs, trees, and annual flowers. Management of a staff of (15) employees.
CPO license in turf and ornamental preferred.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Manage and maintain common ground properties including clubhouse/ Lodge grounds and landscaping, open spaces and the equipment used to maintain these areas.
III. Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
Schedule, train, supervises and evaluate all personnel assigned to department
Supervises all planting, fertilizing, care and removal of turf, plants, shrubs, trees and other facilities in the common areas and selected areas of the golf course
Records all maintenance of common grounds
Takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are met.
Prepares proper fertilizers and nutrients for all flora and fauna.
Maintains drainage, irrigation and watering systems of common areas
Enforces comprehensive safety program for employees in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
Maintains accurate work records for all personnel in the department.
Communicates as necessary with Director of Golf Course Operations to discuss conditions of facilities, maintenance plans and scheduled events.
Ensures that chemicals, petroleum and other controlled products are used, stored and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations; maintains required records and strives to minimize the use of chemicals and petroleum products.
Attends department meetings.
Attends turf educational programs as determined by Director of Golf Course Operations to maintain a current knowledge of technical and turf innovations and changes that could affect the department’s operations.
Establishes short- and long-range plans for the common grounds and selected golf course landscaping.
Keeps Director of Golf Course Operations informed about current and future maintenance activities.
Plans professional development and training activities for subordinates including safety training for equipment use and proper handling of fertilizers, herbicides and all other chemicals used on course; assures that MSDS’s are available in convenient location.
Makes recommendations for capital improvement and purchases.
Supervises road and roadside maintenance within the club’s grounds.
Ensures proper landscaping for property outside of golf course including the clubhouse and surrounding areas.
Coordinates applicable work with outside contractors.
Inspects common areas to evaluate and recommend improvements.
Conducts other appropriate tasks assigned by the Director of Golf Course Operations
